Benson continually research and invest in emerging technologies to remain at the forefront of industrial and automotive component engineering.

Benson offer full OEM / OES exhaust system programmes from initial concept and package studies, through the design and development phase, pre-production to line production. Unique to Benson the focus is to offer the OEM low volume full exhaust system production in stainless steel and other coated metals.

Our team of design and development engineers use the latest 3D modelling software integrated with cutting edge digital measuring equipment, reducing customer lead times and delivering conceptual exhaust design packages to meet customer targets, whilst understanding the commercial demands of OEM customers.

Development, Test and Validation

As part of the development phase Benson has invested heavily on it’s own Engine Dynamometer and exhaust test rig to further reduce cost and improve development lead times.
In addition, Benson are supported by strategic technical partners who enhance our wealth of knowledge drawing upon their historical and current exhaust programme experience, in the areas of emission control systems (ceramic and metallic substrate installations), by-pass valve technology, delivering a rounded, robust service to our customers.

Development support includes CAE analysis (acoustic and thermal) on conceptual designs, minimising prototype and pre-production phases and costs, FEA analysis (thermal and structural), rig based testing through to complete vehicle testing including drive-by and exhaust homologation/certification.
